Organized sensitization programs at the PoC Site Bor in coordination with other UNMISS protection actors like Child
Protection, Gender Unit, HRD and NGOs providing services in the PoC Site (Protection of Civilians). Worked with PoC
community leaders, PoC Women Association leadership as well the IDP camp management team from the humanitarian

vulnerable groups within PoC. Coordinated with other UN sections to implement Gender Mainstreaming activities and
implement efforts to end prolonged and arbitrary detention.While working on the position of UNPOL GCVPP officer I
conducted assessment of 18 cases involving women and children reported in PoC Site Bor. I was able to work closely with
PoC community leaders and PoC Women Association leadership; the female IDPs resided in PoC Site Bor was emphasized to
actively participate in the local community in order to represent interests of them and their children; one female Deputy block
leader was elected in each block in PoC Site Bor. On a daily basis females were sensitized on importance of compliance with
human rights, prevention of domestic violence, sexual exploitation and abuse and early marriage as well as personal hygiene.

security and maintaining of public order within PoC Site Bor. In order to avoid any prohibited items and provide security in
PoC Site I was conducting physical searches persons entering and leaving PoC Site Bor as well as I was participating in
cordon search operations within PoC Site to identify and confiscate unauthorized items inside.
I was conducted regular concurrent patrols with FPU and Community Watch Group members to maintain visibility in as many
areas of PoC as possible and gathering of intelligence; during patrols residents of PoC Site Bor were sensitized on
importance of compliance with UN regulations and human rights, prevention of domestic violence, sexual exploitation and
abuse, community engagement and community policing activities were conducted. I participated in relocation of 3000 IDPs
from old PoC site to new one carrying out searches of individuals and objects. Regarded as a competent UNPOL team
member in short period of time I was designated as a shift leader in one of the shifts to perform duties in PoC Site Bor. I
deserved the respect and understanding of colleagues from different countries and with different back and working as a part
of UNPOL team trying to inspire others to follow UN core values.

Description of Duties and Achievements:
As Juvenile inspector of regional police station I was working on juvenile delinquency prevention in close cooperation with
educational establishments, social organizations and criminal police division. I organized and implemented activity aimed on
juvenile's crime prevention; I was responsible for planning, organizing and conducting lectures on gender based violence
topics in schools and colleges. I was conducting lectures, workshops and sensitization programs aimed on developing
children's good behavior skills for a healthy lifestyle as well as community policing forums as regards juvenile's crime
prevention, training juveniles at school on topics related law and human rights.
I conducted interview of suspects/witnesses, review of complain applications regarding child rights violation; detected
criminal offenses committed by juveniles or against them. I was responsible for organization of providing legal and
psychological assistance to child victims in criminal proceedings or witnessed a criminal offense; for revealing and
preservation of evidence of child abuse, perpetration of violence against them.
Identified the causes and conditions that lead to the commission of criminal offenses and taking preventive measures.
Prepared of action plans for individual prevention by studying the characteristics materials, individual psychological
characteristics of the child; was taking measures to prevent recidivism among juveniles.
I supervised of children and families with asocial behavior, was responsible for preparation and record-keeping the cases files
of juvenile delinquents and search for minors who have left without permission their families.
I prepared daily, weekly and monthly reports.During my assignment in Juvenile's unit I was working in close cooperation with
educational establishments, social organizations and criminal police division focusing on juvenile's crime prevention actions.
I conducted 16 lectures on gender based violence topics in schools and colleges within area of responsibility and 04
sensitization programs aimed on developing children's good behavior skills for a healthy lifestyle. I managed to establish trust
and transparency with children, their relatives and teachers. I assisted to criminal department in 16 cases committed by
juveniles or against them, conducted preliminary interview of suspects/witnesses/victims underage. I maintained and updated
cases files on 32 of juvenile delinquents and 16 families with asocial behavior under my supervision.
Reason for Leaving:
After changing of residence I was redeployed to Police HQ.
